At the end of it all.. it was You.

You were leaning out the blacony.

The hot sun blazing down on your caramel skin.

A slight breeze whispering through the terrace doors.

Q-tip was playing through the computer speakers.. the soft beats a perfect companion to a lazy summer afternoon.

I rolled out of bed and walked up behind you.

Moving to your side, I perched my arms on the balcony ledge.

We looked ahead at the blue sky and let the sun soak into our skins.

I looked at you, you turned to me.

Your blue eyes piercing through.

I think it was then that I realised..

I was in love.

And that's how it was going to be for the rest of my life.

Happy Anniversary.

Earth meets home.

I fell in love today.. with an inanimate object.

Well, a whole lot of inanimate objects bunched together in a lovely home.

Combining every aesthetic I love, Julie Pointer's home exuberates raw, earthy goodness highlighted by drops of colour.

So great.

Bloom

Years ago I went to a psychic who told me that I should start gardening.

She said it was something I would do often in the future.

She said it would be a source of great happiness and well-being.

At the time I smiled politely.. but in my mind I was rolling my eyes at the thought of being knee up in dirt.

I was a teenager.

I was a lot more interested in rock n' roll -- then bulbs and spatulas.

But my, how things of changed since turning the corner of adulthood.

Flowers markets make me giddy and a trip to Bunnings is the highlight of the weekend.

Now that I've got my own place I can't wait to start growing herbs, plants and of course the odd cactus.

Here's some bloomy inspo to get me going.. I'll be posting pictures from our plant-loved home soon.
